SWACHH BHARAT MISSION (SBM)
Swachh Bharat Mission was started in 2014 with a view to bring the focus on the neglected sector of solid waste management and liquid waste management. Hon. Prime Minister called out to nations dignity and citizen participation to improve on our condition for waste management and sanitation. Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) was introduced under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural) was introduced under the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation , Ministry of Jalshakti.
Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 was inaugurated in 2022 with focus on reducing the waste and making cities garbage free.
